Is there a time limit to file a disability appeal?

Yes. No matter what level you are at in the social security disability process, you always have 60 days from the date of your denial to file an appeal.

However, what the Social Security Administration never tells you is that you really have 65 days. This is because SSA will always allow you an extra five days for mail time. But if you want to get to an approval sooner than later, file your appeal right away.
