Unless your disability lawyer or the non attorney representative handling your ssd or ssi claim advises you that a vocational expert will be present at your hearing, you, most likely, will not know until you appear for your scheduled hearing. Of course, a hearing office may choose to notify a claimant that expert testimony will be provided by a vocational expert. Typically, though, the claimant will only receive a hearing appointment notice, attached to which will generally be an acknowledgement form, a medication list, a work history form, and, possibly a form on which to indicate recent medical treatment.
