DISABILITY - HOW MANY TIMES DO YOU HAVE TO APPLY ?

How many times you have to apply for disability benefits before you "hit the lucky number is a question that has been pondered by probably tens of thousands of social security disability and ssi disability claimants.

And, truthfully, a few claimants will be forced to file a number of different applications for ssd or ssi benefits before they find success and are awarded benefits.

However, most claimants would be better advised not to start over and apply again, but, rather file their first available appeal.

Disability appeals are actually quite easier to do than contacting the social security administration to apply all over again. And if you have a disability lawyer working on your case, you won't even have to submit the appeal paperwork yourself. Simply contact your attorney and notify them that you have received a denial letter. Soon after, your lawyer will submit the appropriate appeal paperwork.
