WHAT HAPPENS AFTER I QUALIFY FOR SOCIAL SECURITY DISABILITY OR SSI DISABILITY BENEFITS ?

If you qualify for social security disability or ssi disability benefits (based on an evaluation of your condition via the information contained in your medical records), your case will be processed to be put into benefit receipt status.

If you qualify for disability benefits at the initial application stage, your benefits will most likely be processed by a Claims Rep (usually referred to as a CR) at the social security office where you originally filed your ssd or ssi application.

If, however, you qualify for social security disability or ssi disability following a hearing held before an administrative law judge, your case will be sent immediately to a payment processing center, where a benefit authorizer will work to put your ssd or ssi claim into receipt status.
