The answer to this question is very simple. If you receive a denial of an ssi (supplemental security income) disability claim, or a denial of an social security disability insurance (ssdi) claim, you need to appeal as fast as possible. How do you file such an appeal after you receive a denial for either ssi or ssdi? Simply contact the social security field or district office where you applied and tell them that you wish to follow up the denial of your disability benefit claim with an appeal. Make sure to do this within sixty days of the date of your denial, though. If you do not appeal your denial in a timely fashion, you will be forced to begin with a new ssi or ssdi disability application. Disability Advocates Help with Claims Free Case Evaluation |
