Questions about Multiple Sclerosis - MS |
|
The cause of multiple sclerosis is unknown. Medical researchers currently believe that MS patients are not born with multiple sclerosis and it is not a genetic disease. It has been suggested that geographical locations may have a correlation to MS. Yet another theory suggests that a virus ( studies show that MS patients have shown abnormal levels of antibodies) contracted in one's early years, which lies dormant for quite some time, may be part of the cause. Evidence does suggest so far that a viral component and geographic location may be tied to the cause of multiple sclerosis.
