Questions about
Migraines

A common migraine is different from a classical migraine in that common migraines are not preceded by what is generally thought of as aura (visual disturbances). Nonethless, a common migraine may be preceded by warnings such as fatigue or irritability, or a feeling of mental fogginess. Warning symptoms prior to the onset of a common migraine may also include swelling in a body area or an increased need to urinate.

While classical migraines may last several hours, a common migraine may last for several days and may be accompanied by nausea and vomitting. The person experiencing a common migraine may also have their pain and discomfort affected by exposure to light and sound.
