Individuals with fibromyalgia are often plagued by sleep related problems. These sleep difficulties sometimes include night time bruxism, or teeth grinding.
Why do people with fibromyaglia grind their teeth? Possibly for one of the same reasons that people who do not have FMS grind their teeth. Bruxism is often correlated with stress and those who grind their teeth are often found to have ongoing problems with chronic pain and headaches, conditions that are highly correlated with fibromyalgia syndrome. |
