A Pill for Multiple Sclerosis?
There are many medications to help the over 400,000 Americans that are affected with the neurological disease Multiple Sclerosis (MS). Unfortunately, all of these medications are available in injection form only, leaving sufferers no choice but a painful treatment and leaving some sufferers dependent on other people to administer their medication.
The following article outlines new research in the works by the Saint Louis University to test a new, orally-administered pill for multiple sclerosis to see if the pill is an effective treatment for the disease. The study will be held at nearly 160 sites worldwide, including the Saint Louis University. The University is looking for six participants between the ages of 18 and 55 years old who are not currently taking MS injected medications. The study will involve free MS medication and a number of tests, including blood tests, urine tests and more. This article gives information on the study, what to expect, and how to enroll.
