Sensations of stiffness in the muscles and joints, primarily in the back and legs, but also in the arms, seem to be experienced by the majority of individuals with fibromyalgia. In fact, it has been reported that three-quarters of FMS patients experience morning muscle stiffness. And though fibromyalgia does not cause degenerative orthopedic changes, this stiffness seems to mirror the complaints voiced by individuals with arthritis. |
