Abdominal Aorta






The abdominal aorta is that part of the aorta that leads from the aortic hiatus into the abdomen and supplies blood to various areas of the body such as the testes, ovaries, the kidneys, and the stomach also.

The abdominal aorta is composed of several arterial branches and among them are the inferior phrenic, lumbar, mid sacral, renal, testicular, celiac, inferior mesenteric, superior mesenteric, ovarian, mid suprarenal, and the common iliac arteries.
