Acute lymphocytic leukemia is a disease that generally occurs in children. Typically, ALL is diagnosed in children between the ages of 2 and 5, with an even greater risk among those with down syndrome and those who have siblings with leukemia. ALL is diagnosed via blood and bone marrow studies and is treated via chemotherapy, radiotherapy and treatment regimens for secondary infections.
