Acne

Acne is a condition that everyone is familiar with, particularly teenagers and their parents. Acne is actually defined as a disease of the skin. It occurs where certain glands known as sebaceous glands are numerous. This includes the areas of the face and the back. The telltale signs of acne are blackheads, whiteheads, inflammatory papules, and pustules. Acne can be treated with salicylic acid, azelaic acid, benzoyl peroxide, and antibiotics, both oral and topical.
