Most individuals by the time they will have reached adulthood will have experienced conjunctivitis, otherwise known as pink eye. One form of this condition is allergic conjunctivitis, which is conjunctivitis that is caused by allergies. This condition can be triggered by pollen, grass, topical medicine, and contaminants in the air. Allergic conjunctivitis usually occurs before the age of thirteen and for those who experience it there seems to be a cyclical nature to the condition (generally, it reoccurs on a seasonal basis). |
